Engramic’s Community License

The language below is a summary, the official license is available in the Git repository.

Engramic follows the permissive terms of the MIT license but adds two restrictions:

1. Entities with 250 or more employees, including employees of majority-owned subsidiaries, may not redistribute the software to users or customers external to their business without first obtaining a commercial license.

2. A small entity may not help an entity with 250 or more employees circumvent #1.

What does this mean?

250 or more employee entity:

• may use the software for internal purposes.

• can still contribute source code to the project.

Per project licensees for entities with employee counts of 250 or more are available and affordable and a sustainable way to support the software development of smaller entities.
